the chipping norton set should not have power

why are the chipping norton sets the ones with power

Cameron and his ilk up that way are parasites on culture, lets be honest i would never entrust to such a person with the defense of our borders they live in a false idyll compared to where the majority live, until theyre sending theyre children to a state academy school in finsbury park or brixton, then I dont think they have a right to pass judgement on multiculturalism and immigration as a wonderfull and primary belief, that must be entrenched and indoctrinated into the common people at all costs, such as we appear to experience in this culture, and lockup all those who dont believe in and rally against it, this is a fascist liberal state we are living in that is committing people culture suicide, purely so as to appear super ammicable and non racist in some ridiculous overt who can be more multicultural than america competition. America was founded on immigration britain was not, certainly in the 500 year time frame. ANd i personally feel that the level of immigration and multicuturalism that has been enforced on the major urban centres has been completely out of control for forty years. And this government is no different in investing money to defend the rights of foreign people abroad rather than actually defend our own borders, which should be the primary purpose of any army. Certainly I would be much happier to see someone become prime minister who had seen all sides of british culture, not just from another privileged background such as cameron.

Things to improve zinio

Problems / feedback / suggestions >

This form just lost the words ive been typing for the last 20 mins ? Grr

As a person who has had a subscription to the printed version of Macuser, I have a few question and suggestion RE Zinio, prior to buying a subscription

(1) As a person who has stacks of old printed Macuser magazines taking up precious spacein my life, I can ill afford, I would to a large extent wish to convert these printed versions into their digital equivalents, But the price for old issues of £1.87 means it would cost me £46.75 to replace a years worth of old printed issues ? considering a new subscription is £29.99 it seems to me, not a very cost effective way to do this ?

Think also you should have a way of browsing by year and also give a large and increasing discount for purchasing a years back issues at a time, such that the older the issue the deeper the discount ?

Or perhaps as a bonus for current subscribers the ability to download old issues beyond a certain age for free ?

Perhaps a discount for buying in amounts of 6 and 12 back issues at a time etc ?

This would seem to make marketing sense to me compared to charging £1.87 per older back issue as this doesn’t provide me with a cost effective way of converting my old back issues into its digital equivalent ? you might say there would be little demand ? but if feel if such offers were made apparent and obvious to the users of your website on arrival when investigating a particular magazine, with slogans such a s convert those dusty magazine and free up space ? etc

(2) when browsing back issues on the website prior to purchase you need to provide a way selecting particular years issues etc as at the moment I just have x number of pages in chronological order etc, not very sophisticated sorting.

(3) Question how searchable are the magazines presumably they’re not just static jpeg style encrypted PDF’s etc i can search for content ?

(4) Have the adverts been removed on the back issues ? or is this a selectable option with in the Zinio viewer for non current issues ? AS stale deals and offers aren’t something i desire to browse after the event ?

(5) are the text elements in the magazine proper vector artwork or are the pages essentially jpeg’s with limited resolution and heavy file sizes ?

(6) This – “how can we improve” box I wrote into on the survey form has a line wrap wider than the form box itself meaning im having to do crazy sideways scrolling back and forth just to see what i’ve written, please fix this.

(7) In the future the current disadvantage between the printed version and the zinio version of – ‘no covermounts’ needs to be addressed, does or will zinio have support to link to a portion of a zinio or amazon S3 server space that means covermount disk images can be downloaded ?

(8) I like to manage currently my epub and pdf media through Itunes how does or can zinio integrate with that ?

(9) What noticeable effect of DRM is there ? is there a slowdown in any way?

(10) Beyond a certain age of back issue of a magazine is the DRM removed ?

if you insist I can send you photographic evidence of these stacks of printed magazines cluttering up my life ? Ive spoken to Macuser about the problems i talk about in point 1 above, these kinks in digital magazines subscriptions need to be ironed out, although I dont think apples newstand isn’t much of a solution either as apple have decided to take too large a percentage on that one, kind of crippling it imo price wise, but we will see.

Apple linein and stupidity with audio inputs

Another reason apple are totally crap in twenty years they have failed to put a mic input on theri fucking computers !!!!

Linein only and no mic input

this has been the case since the plaintalk mic fucking days, can they get over theyre own fucking gigantic fucking super design egos and include a standard fucking mic input someday on their fucking machines ? no I fucking doubt it ! fucking assholes !

barclays banking and bank operations in general archaic and in need of major overhaul

I want proper interest on my bank accounts not the piffling end of year accountancy irritance that is the ridiculous 0.005% or whatever it is you offer as standard. Nor the necessity to manually spend time transferring my moneys around to get better interest rates in other accounts as this is also a waste of existence.

I do not want to support the expense of business advisors who I have not have the need of for the last 15 years in business. Have a business account that offers proper interest on business accounts with limited risk fro a little interest growth with no charges of any sort on positive balances over X, that does not support a clique of barclays advisors, as others who borrow money may need such support, and I do not wish to be lumped with the expense of such employees just because a small proportion of other customers make use of them ?

Camerons House Price support and Inflation Scheme

What the hell ? how is this going to work, Henry Pryor is right, the “NewBuy” scheme is just the houseowning classes trying to propup their ill gotten inflated houseprice gains by offering more debt availability to avoid a correction in the inflated house prices, this will fuel more property speculation.

Oh and lets give those who already steal/leech on the benefits system the opportunity to buy their own homes at an actual discounted price, ahead of those not on the ladder in the private sector ? They will give benefits claiments an actual discount on market prices ? and allow them to erode the quantity of social housing available, when it was proven last time that allot of the people who took advantage of the right to buy scheme were speculators using the right to buy scheme to make money through selling propertys on .

And the private renter who cant get on the ladder pays taxes and doesn’t claim benefits, instead they can carry the debt can so that when the correction occurs theyre stumped with the negative equity ? Great Cameron the benefit classes and the wealthy have again worked out how to screw the non claiming, poor to middle class non house owning set !

SSPCA dictates invasive species protected ?

RSPCA dictates invasive species protected ?

you want rid of your peacocks ? just hire someone to come and shoot the lot and eat them, ignore the SSPCA, how dare they state that invasive species are protected in this country to roam and breed unchecked ? and these ones arent living in the wild theyre surviving in an urban environnment by raiding veg gardens and probably bins ? I should imagine if they get the chance.

If the village is ‘pretend complaining for publicity’ then fine ignore them, but if they genuinely and democratically decide they dont want the peacocks or wish to cull them then they should have a right democratically to make that decision and deal with them, as long as the meat is eaten.

imac g5 design failure

Just repaired my iMac G5 with complete boot failure, it all came down to capacitors, there was an industry wide use of sub standard/sub spec capacitors at the time the imac G5 was manufactured, due to a manufacturer using a capacitor recipe missing one ingredient, This caused the imac G5’s to fail at a much faster rate than they should have done, I had to replace half the capacitors in the power supply and 5 of the higher rated capacitors nearest the power supplies internal vent onto the logic board once this repair was affected, my machine worked perfectly.

take the cover of the back of you imac G5 and see whether your imac version has some led diagnostic lights and check whether the power diagnostic led light lights up properly when started, there are tutorials for this on the web also a light there that indicates whether gpu is communicating with the display properly. all led internal green lights should light up, apart from the right hand one of the four.

with your dar screen sleep light on symptoms it seems quite likely a surface mount BGA graphics chip failure, but to be honest it could also be a capacitor related issue, if your not into stripping the machine down and soldering capacitors then the machine for you is probably a right off, just try a pram reset boot before giving up, I had similar sleep light no boot scenario on a macbook pro, and a stripdown got it booting again.

the power supply in the imac G5 gets very hot and has no fan of its own and is dependant on the one internal motherboard fan, there is also no temp sensor for the power supply to give you an indicator as to how hot its getting, I feel the the heat venting from the overheating power supply internally is what cooked the capacitors nearest it, this is a flaw in the design of this machine.

Britain effectively ceased to exist as a soverieign entity on the 10th Dec 1991

Britain effectively ceased to exist as a sovereign entity on the 10th Dec 1991, with the signing of the Maastricht treaty, do not delude yourself otherwise, no country which cannot control which persons can enter its borders has control of their own country or any real sense of self determination. Britain was only great when is was sure of its own identity, and was culturally unified in purpose. Our overpopulated isle and your future native progeny are now fully exposed to competition with 800 million people, whose cultures maybe more agressive selfish and less civilised than your own.

This is disregarding the impact of the era of global mass immigration external to the EU into the UK over the last 40 years we have been living under the kosh of, that has compounded the struggling native englishmans situation further.

ebay bargains how to get them … rarely …

most things second hand and in ok condition and order, well described and with their listings ending in the evening, will for 80% of the time … go for 80% of average new retail price. sometimes more than new has been seen.

Theyre are a relatively low numbers of private sellers left on ebay, due to ebay trying to force out low value items, by making it too expensive too list them on ebay, so they can furnish the shareholder with better profits, which means its ethos have moved away from the private second hand seller, ebay would love to push ebay into being a market portal for commercial retailers, and the proportion of commercial sellers to private sellers is increasing all the while, recently out of a page of 16 sellers for one type of item, only one was a private 2nd hand seller. Meaning bargains are sadly not likely to be had in items with any demand/popularity or function left in them. Also there is a deeply worrying trend for ebay to default to making all auctions private meaning researching the item or previous bids your purchasing from the seller before purchase is now almost impossible, even to determine if people had trouble with the item your buying from the seller, this is big mistake in the ebay system as it now damages the feedback system, do not give feedback to a seller until you are satisfied with an item regardless of pressure imposed by sellers to give 5 star reviews before you’ve even received the item ?

The only way to get a bargain is :

• to find items ending at odd times
• errors in the naming or the description
• poor listings that might put some buyers off
• items so specialised in quality that most people don’t know how good they are
• always bid your maximum amount at the very last moment ie dont show your hand early. sniping tools are good a making this happen automatically for you, though they don’t guarantee bargains.
• bid on lots and lots of items stick to a max bid under new price your aiming to get and wait until lady luck falls on you.
• be prepared to make a max bid for a good item that is at least 75% of retail for 2nd hand items most often under and you will lose.

and if you not countering in your time to save the equivalent very often of 30% then your not being honest with yourself most often spending an hours shaving £10.00 of a price isn’t worth it, regardless of how much the bargain hunter blood is in you ?

or of course you could accept the idea that the new definition of 2nd hand bargain is now 80% or more of retail ?

technology for instance is a hard area to get a bargain, unless your purchasing direct from a chinese e-seller and in in that scenario you have to be careful, to make sure that the quality of the item is export quality.

easier categories to get a bargain include 2nd hand clothing and shoes for instance, although clothing is one of the most variable in terms of what the item is actually like when it turns up.

The problem is in the past you might be able to get a second hand item for 50% of the new street price etc, ebay is now pushing that up to 90% regardless of the age or use of the item.

if you know of a new ebay equivalent with very low or no listing fees and cheap payment fees .comment it below
