Secondly what we need with drive failure is … warning, yes theyre can always be catostrophic failure and therefore a backup is the only real solution, but to be honest if the drives internal self repair mechanism wasn’t constantly hiding the trouble thats going on in the drive, and keeping the knowledge to itself as to how fucked the drive is, until its so bad it falls over, we be allot better off, if only it communicated with us a bit. In theory smart status enables us to see whether the drive is beginning to fail, but only if connected internally, so many people have external drives, smart status is no use at all in this scenario. The truth is the drive standard should be able to store a condition report about the drive mechanism on part of the drive which is accesible when in an external case by the user. So we can get some indication as to when the drive is going home.

Get this I had a drive that was exhibiting hardware failure, disc speed being continually reduced to read parts of the disc, down to the reading at 4k a sec type level. I lost allot of data and it happened without warning. Then when ive finished extracting what i Could lost about 75% of the data in the end. I reformat the drive and drive then says its perfectly fine ? In my opinion whats going on is the internal repair mechanism used the opportunity of a fresh format, and locked of more dodgy portions of the disk away from use and proceeded to format and pretend everything is fine. When in reality probably more of the disk will begin to fail ? In a way these self repairing mechanisms where they ascribe more of the disk as unusable and then keep on going, allows manufacturers to pretend theyre drives are much higher quality than they are, ie if we actually knew how much of the disk sectors were dropping out of use wed be appaled and would complain, but because its all a hidden process were lulled into thinking everything is fine, and drive quality is acceptable, when what users really want is not drives that wll carry on when reformatted but, drives that are polite enough to inform us when they are about/likely to fail, it looks like SSD will be this way inclined hopefully.

Being currently dormant as a player who used to raid consistently, and has a long time played in this game. I would like a clear and thorough explanation as to why over the period of time you have had to introduce it, you still find it impossible to allow tranfers of chars from one region to another ? ie moving a US character to an EU realm. This has been the bane of world of warcraft game for some time for me and many other players. I have previously heard excuses like the US and EU worldofwarcraft are seperate business entitys etc. Which frankly is an issue for you to deal with and not your customer base who are not interested in such logistics. The truth is a character should be merely a tiny file sitting on a server. and there is no real difficulty in transferring that character from one server to another wherever they may be located.

I want a rational explanation as to why you still do not allow such transfers ?

Bought some “samla” storage boxes, only to find the lids are a seperate purchase, so I got the lids, now i discover the lids dont clip onto the bases in anyway and that they distort and dont sit properly on the box bases, IKEA has to understand there are minimum standards that they have to meet and selling each component seperately and at an extra cost invalidates them appearing cheap and making them out of materials that easily and by themselves distort invalidates moulding plastic in the first place. fourthly mine seem 1cm too tall for sliding under a standard bed height ?
so lets list the design flaws so far :

• 1 plastic distorts by itself after purchase perhaps plastic not cured properly ?
• 2 1cm to tall for fitting under a bed
• 3 doesn’t include as standard way to self clip onto box base without extra faffy purchasable parts
• 4 when stacked they slide around on top of each other rather than stacking neatly foot of box into socket on lid. (only possible reason for this is perhaps breaking roll resistance when transported in a car but if the lid flys off whats the difference ? )

liable to be much more and Banco Santander, the Spanish bank that owns Abbey just picked up : , has bought the £20 billion deposit business and the network of 200 branches probably worth in the region of 100 million in themselves, for 612 million pounds, So im guessing 512 million has been paid to bring 20 billions worth of deposits onto their accounts, perhaps they need deposits ? thats a bit like being loaned 20 billion at 2.5% interest rate.

lacie disks are ok but not great whats really important is what drive is on the inside of the unit, and how good is the bridge board and power supply, Ive had 4 lacie power supplys failed on me, bought 5 of their products, one of the drives inside one of my 4 lacie external hard disk is on the way out, the drive inside it is a maxtor :(. Seagate , hitachi western digital & samsung are generally more reliable drives. but if you base buying a drive on how black it, is then good luck to you.
