There are so many things which are just plain uglier and less usefull in CS4 the adjustments pallete icons so damn fugly, and the size of the pallette system being a part of that, and docked windows complaints on the web abound.

luckily you can turn all the ballsed up interface malarkey off, but whats the point of them creating useless interface changes when the users are going to turn most of them off ? The truth is software manufacturers Can only keep theyre revenue stream high by changing things allot and adding new features noone asked for, so most of the time this useless fiddling is done, for there own economic growth model even if it ruins the product for the user.

Allot of TV programs produced nowadays seem determined to compensate, for the failing of CCD’s to find tonality within bright skys, by doing a form of artificial sky contrast and tonality enhancement, a kind of psuedo HDR effect without any extra information combined in.

This would be ok except whoever is operating this effect seems to get carried away with its intensity to the extent of darkening horizon buildings and making the shot in general look artifical. If you want a wider tonailty than CCD’s are currently offering either buy better cameras.

One solution would be to film at a double frame rate, with each alternate frame exposed differently to capture a wider tonal range and then combine the frames.

Or alternately just be a liitle more sparing with the intensity of the effect.

Mac os X Background Processes Bullshit Adobe Reader

Apple are going to have to start taking background processs seriously, Mac Os X Is far worse than Mac os 9 in this respect, why is it that I must suffer background processes that I cannot Remove with a gui interface ? I mean you could do this in mac os fing 9 but Mac Os X keeps hiding its evil crap, read this article about adobe synchroniser to get an idea of what I mean

I mean why bother having “startup items” if software developers can just insert background processes into mac os X without my control or choice ? And worse this synchroniser is inserted into my user folder now making the fucker uncopyable or deletable because of an active process running from it also why when I use Batchmod or the operating system to modify the entire user folder and its entire contents to have specific permissions, why then do I not find all folders having these permissions ?

Mac Os X sucks Badly in these departments, permission are an abortion, ACLs like wise, user gui control is limited in very hamfisted ways, obfuscation seems to be there game. I have spend hours and hours disecting what all thes rubbish programs install, and work out how to remove it. The link above is one entire web page to remove one irritating item.

Apple Mac OS X Updates too large

10.5.6 to 10.5.7 as a combo update 729mb even on standard broadband thats way heavy for an individual download ? multiply that up by the average number of users ? its a crazy waste of bandwidth, and i very much doubt all that update is patching its probably just wholesale replacement and cruft that might be needed. they need to work on trimming these updates down in size, and maybe fixing something more important like the poorly controllable search functionality in mac os x.

Enjoying the videos very much.

One thing I might ask is that all videos have an explanation of what are the properties of the material , and some kind of statement about their usefullness to humanity as it seem the allot of these newer substances are so unstable that it seems that theyre production is just a stunt to prove it can be done, where no practical application maybe made of them, not to say that discovery is not beneficial in and of itself, but could some of these elements be described in such a way as to describe what the point of them might be, for instance the copernicum video bangs on about its naming, but nothing about what it might be usefull for ? and this substance has been known of for 10 years but no statement about its properties is usefully made ? Does this mean that a large number of these elements that are being created by particle accelerators are practically useless stunts on the basis they dissappear almost as fast as they are created ?

dont you hate people who own a domain and just use it as some domain parking page, especially pages that might be very usefull otherwise.

well I suppose they do have have wales.com, perhaps its a seperatist indicator that this lovely little isle is getting more divided which is a pity considering the effort spent in acheiving some sense of unity in the united kingdom, but its certainly a pity that wales.co.uk doesn’t point to wales.com

commerciality for its own sake sucks allot of the time, imagine what use the welsh could put that domain to, but no some generalised site parking company pumps it full of rubbish advertising and leaves it at that.

some of these parked sites just seem crazily boring and a pointless waste of good domains and should be returned to the pool of available domains.

Facebook’s success mainly stems from its profile viewing process being a one way gear, if you want to see any other fuckers facebook profile, you have to sign up to see them, once youve signed up theyve already won. In other words most people who are on facebook joined because one of there other fucker friends joined it, and asked them to look at their profile or something they posted, and so like sheep they did also. These childish one way signup wratchet mechanisms are thought out by the aggregious and played out on the simple.
