Olympics shmympics oeuf ! Grrr hurmph

nazi olympic badge, nazi probably loved the olympics as an equal believer in genetic bullshittery.

You would have thought they would have learnt there lesson with the millenium dome! But no, governments become so detatched with reality, they press on regardless, you get some twat/s with massively vested interests like … Seb Coe saying its a good idea, and before you know it were hosting the flaming olympics, the biggest most corrupt gravy train since lord knows when.

This complete and utter waste of of tax payers money, should never have been in my view. And when we “won it” … what a joke that is ? and all those vested interest, sports council employess or ‘friends of’ or even athletic idiots themselves went hOOpla in some highly staged way in central london, you could here their brains counting, the tax payer investment behind their greedy bright teary little eyes.

If you have any morality, you should boycott the whole thing and refuse to jump on the gravy train that it is, but how many are left in this Soddom and Gommorah of a city, who dont think its theyre inalienable right to be as corrupt and greedy as the next man, where morality and decency fall to the lowest common denominator. One quote I heard from the twats consulting !? or working on it was “Charge like a wounded Rhino”. The whole thing will no doubt also get carved up into some kind of minority ethnicity racial jamboree bullshit media-fest as well, in which our wonderfull multi-culturalism is rammed into our shriveled un-appreciative native faces as the fantastic for us, success its marketed to be, down the boobtube until we fall asleep, watching qualifying round 16 of the front crawl to hell and back in this totally ‘lost’ culture of ours.

Long seems to run the fall of english culture.

Why Colour Grading In Film is Important

Today we seem to be getting an awful lot of film that is artificially coloured or badly restored, and then the people who had this task, then fail to admit to such issues, and claim it as some clever part of the artistic process, for instance the bladerunner restoration was very good but the colour correction for film stock aging was done pretty badly.

here is a snapshot from an opening scene in bladerunner, the greenish looking areas, are the colour of the film as released, the normal areas are how I have colour corrected it through restoration, whos aim was to return the footage to a realistic colour scenario.

Un-manufacturing or Unmanufacturing ?

Sooner or late were gonna have to get to round to the concept of enforcing manufacturers by law to also un-manufacture at the end of a products life, currently we can get away with not, because we live in a culture in which energy and materials, have been relatively cheaply raped from the earth, and twas always cheaper to take and make anew, rather than to un-manufacture. But in the future Un-Manufacturing plants will be more common place. As humans finally invent circular processes rather than linear ones.

Apple share mount now always calls certinfo.me.com

Why whenever I mount a drive across the network it now communicates with certinfo.me.com Ive no idea ? According to an apple explanation its to do with mobileme, why the mobileme needs to know what drive I’m mounting I have no idea. especially as I only had a bloody trial account for a while, its precisely this kind of invasive cryptic background process bullshit that fucks me off, more and more coders are doing this stuff and they dont bother to inform what they are upto or doing, and presume on your approval without asking. If they were just upfront about what they were doing with a particular background process in plain english, and asked for your approval it would be bearable.

my advice get protected from this endless parade of unauthorised internet communication by purchasing this great peice of software.

Little Snitch

Then you will finally get a picture as to how much communicating your computer is doing without asking you.

US Cyber tsar should be Gary Mckinnon

hugs for gary

they need a new cyber tsar ?

theyve just grabbed a new cyber tsar :

gary mcKinnon :)

problem solved, who better to work out how to guard digital information than he who can break into it.

although wait a moment he recently revealed ? >

“I’m not, you know, a master hacker. I didn’t write my own programmes or anything”

he mainly used this commercially available product “remotely anywhere”

what ! this must surely be is the first case of a “user”, being able to hack government sites ? which must indicate their security is more slack than we can possibly imagine ? In that case I’ve have no empathy for the US government in the sense it imply’s their prosecuting an intelligent but largely unskilled guy who was just curious ? Only in america could you say it was illegal to look. If their security isnt good enough thats there business, he wasn’t after money just information, the world we live in where information is illegal … really, to my mind the only infomation that should be illegal is that which is lies or noise within the signal of life.

Gary Mckinnon you did the right thing, why was it the right thing ? because as per usual mis-behaviour gifts you more of societys attention, than remaining anonymous, think of who you would be now if this event hadn’t occurred ? lets hope the americans see sense and offer you a nice well paid job as security risk advisor, as blank passwords are quite obviously wrong.

cs4 issues

There are so many things which are just plain uglier and less usefull in CS4 the adjustments pallete icons so damn fugly, and the size of the pallette system being a part of that, and docked windows complaints on the web abound.

CS4 haters

luckily you can turn all the ballsed up interface malarkey off, but whats the point of them creating useless interface changes when the users are going to turn most of them off ? The truth is software manufacturers Can only keep theyre revenue stream high by changing things allot and adding new features noone asked for, so most of the time this useless fiddling is done, for there own economic growth model even if it ruins the product for the user.

Bloody Locums

nhs is turning to shit

My Finsbury Park surgery experience

1: Appointments only available to book between 9 & 12 am wtf ?
2: The first appointment is in 2 weeks later than the time your ringing
3: The appointment finally arrives you end up waiting 30 minutes beyond your appointment, with a load recent arrivals whove probably got TB, or some such in the waiting room, you get a bloody locum whos just flown in from africa, who wont be there the next time, and is finding any way of fobbing you off and making you go away, so as to lighten his load, and scurry away with the pay.

basically for the most of us its a system that effectively does nothing, especially for things that are subtle and progressive, or they don’t give a crap about like rosacea.

Locums Pirates of the NHS, where do they come from, where do they go. I haven’t seen the same doctor twice in my surgery in the last 9 years. Its always another bloody Locum, with which no relationship can develop, and lets hope all locums are approved by the GMC, the last time I saw an english doctor must be wayback in my childhood. My cynical mind beleives that nearly all doctors are becoming locums, on the basis of less stress and more money, which is why my surgery only seems to be staffed by them. In a way its a way of the public having to pay doctors as though they were all private. The NHS now seems to be a cashpoint for people interested in making money.

Can any body with salient figures highlight the price difference, hourly rate wise between a Locum and a practicing GP.

Survey findings

· Average hourly rate 2005: £76.12 per hour !, up from £63 ! in 2004, 2009 figure who the shit knows !

· 300% difference in rates for two-hour session [£75-£250 per session]

· On-call costs varied from £20 to £50 an hour

· Average mileage up from 60p maximum to 65p

Journalism what an ugly clique

Journalism and its unhealthy obsession with employing cambridge and oxford graduates, there is something utterly sick about the media, I was on the guardian site and came across some video material by Laura Barton, and it dawned on me how representative a clone she was of all the other cunts in the media, so I checked, my almost guaranteable prediction, as to whether she was a cambridge or oxford graduate and surprise surprise she was. The media is too predictable in whom they employ, as though they have a great lack of imagination when it comes to hiring. As though somehow its fair to select people purely from these infamous college towns on the basis that by some ill figured logic all the smartest people in the country obviously flow through there, whereas in reality only the people that applied, have the possibility of ending up there.

Luckily traditional media is on its way out, and there becomes less and less to say in the media today, as in fact also there is less and less to say in society in general. For as democracy is now a redundant mechanism why would we need to report on anything ? As nothing can now be changed, without the consent of international finance and corporate demigog’s who worship at the total power that is money, this is why the media now no longer reports anything of any siginificance, theyre main obsession is articles that “entertain” or “capture an audience” or no doubt a long list of other bespoke marketing expression that pervade and rot everything in culture.

Its not as if the material the media generates requires much talent. Her Whitsun Wedding piece had a distinct lack of imagination, and its known by anyone who’s interested, Philip Larkin is a great poet, all poetry stands on its own two feet, and requires no promotion, nor lauding in such a manner, and here trip to the marshes to hear the first cuckoo just made me think how efeet are these people in the media are, that such a report might be classed as work. But what really greats at me more than the material, is that access to such a job, is available to such a narrow class of people.
