The Human world is to large and complicated for the average human being to grasp, hence the vast proportion prefer to be ignorant and focus on themselves, in a way this kind of brainwashing is acheived through the noise of the media, which is like being drowned in a psunami of information about everything, but the shitty democracy we have means you can change nothing. No Wonder people switch off, its too stressfull to remian switched on, and mantain and improve a generalist sense of understanding a truly broad set of issues and their interelations. Thats why people focus on consumerism, money and their own well being which is what society wants you to do.

what ! this must surely be is the first case of a “user”, being able to hack government sites ? which must indicate their security is more slack than we can possibly imagine ? In that case I’ve have no empathy for the US government in the sense it imply’s their prosecuting an intelligent but largely unskilled guy who was just curious ? Only in america could you say it was illegal to look. If their security isnt good enough thats there business, he wasn’t after money just information, the world we live in where information is illegal … really, to my mind the only infomation that should be illegal is that which is lies or noise within the signal of life.
Gary Mckinnon you did the right thing, why was it the right thing ? because as per usual mis-behaviour gifts you more of societys attention, than remaining anonymous, think of who you would be now if this event hadn’t occurred ? lets hope the americans see sense and offer you a nice well paid job as security risk advisor, as blank passwords are quite obviously wrong.
cs4 issues
There are so many things which are just plain uglier and less usefull in CS4 the adjustments pallete icons so damn fugly, and the size of the pallette system being a part of that, and docked windows complaints on the web abound.
luckily you can turn all the ballsed up interface malarkey off, but whats the point of them creating useless interface changes when the users are going to turn most of them off ? The truth is software manufacturers Can only keep theyre revenue stream high by changing things allot and adding new features noone asked for, so most of the time this useless fiddling is done, for there own economic growth model even if it ruins the product for the user.
Private shareholders dividends put breaks on innovation
In my opinion shareholders requirements of dividends, mean these company in general can be less aggressive in investing in new technology and innovation than not for profit organisations. Or well run public companys.

My Finsbury Park surgery experience
1: Appointments only available to book between 9 & 12 am wtf ?
2: The first appointment is in 2 weeks later than the time your ringing
3: The appointment finally arrives you end up waiting 30 minutes beyond your appointment, with a load recent arrivals whove probably got TB, or some such in the waiting room, you get a bloody locum whos just flown in from africa, who wont be there the next time, and is finding any way of fobbing you off and making you go away, so as to lighten his load, and scurry away with the pay.
basically for the most of us its a system that effectively does nothing, especially for things that are subtle and progressive, or they don’t give a crap about like rosacea.
Locums Pirates of the NHS, where do they come from, where do they go. I haven’t seen the same doctor twice in my surgery in the last 9 years. Its always another bloody Locum, with which no relationship can develop, and lets hope all locums are approved by the GMC, the last time I saw an english doctor must be wayback in my childhood. My cynical mind beleives that nearly all doctors are becoming locums, on the basis of less stress and more money, which is why my surgery only seems to be staffed by them. In a way its a way of the public having to pay doctors as though they were all private. The NHS now seems to be a cashpoint for people interested in making money.
Can any body with salient figures highlight the price difference, hourly rate wise between a Locum and a practicing GP.

Journalism what an ugly clique
Journalism and its unhealthy obsession with employing cambridge and oxford graduates, there is something utterly sick about the media, I was on the guardian site and came across some video material by Laura Barton, and it dawned on me how representative a clone she was of all the other cunts in the media, so I checked, my almost guaranteable prediction, as to whether she was a cambridge or oxford graduate and surprise surprise she was. The media is too predictable in whom they employ, as though they have a great lack of imagination when it comes to hiring. As though somehow its fair to select people purely from these infamous college towns on the basis that by some ill figured logic all the smartest people in the country obviously flow through there, whereas in reality only the people that applied, have the possibility of ending up there.
Luckily traditional media is on its way out, and there becomes less and less to say in the media today, as in fact also there is less and less to say in society in general. For as democracy is now a redundant mechanism why would we need to report on anything ? As nothing can now be changed, without the consent of international finance and corporate demigog’s who worship at the total power that is money, this is why the media now no longer reports anything of any siginificance, theyre main obsession is articles that “entertain” or “capture an audience” or no doubt a long list of other bespoke marketing expression that pervade and rot everything in culture.
Its not as if the material the media generates requires much talent. Her Whitsun Wedding piece had a distinct lack of imagination, and its known by anyone who’s interested, Philip Larkin is a great poet, all poetry stands on its own two feet, and requires no promotion, nor lauding in such a manner, and here trip to the marshes to hear the first cuckoo just made me think how efeet are these people in the media are, that such a report might be classed as work. But what really greats at me more than the material, is that access to such a job, is available to such a narrow class of people.
Trident replacement
The world does not get better by people arming themselves, I thinks its time perhaps as a future generational measure we demonstrated our global maturity in the UK, by not renewing trident. Humanity will never evolve whilst we cling to these militaristic paradimes.
Wow a great series of documentarys :) must watch
Adam Curtis has produced a number of documentarys all of them are the way i would like to spend a couple of hours. These documentarys rock, in a way no unfullfilling hollywood blockbuster ever could.
I consider these as part of a set of documentarys that everyone below the age of 20 should watch, though it will take you sometime to watch them all, you will be rewarded with an expanded world view.
