(sorry immigration) christ its not too do with if your children are academically competitive, whether you try hard etc we under utilise even the average workers intelligence in the uk we dont need intelligence, because we dont have an economy geared to provide it with opportunities or a challenge, what we can offer people in the uk is the smallest dwellings in europe, the longest work hours the highest stress, and increasingly the least culturally cohesive culture in europe, why should the majority even struggle to garner the share of meagre over priced resource available in our culture when even being a millionaire in london is liable to buy you no more than a pokey highly pimped 3 bed flat ? a passport may in the eyes of the government make you technically british, but no lazy burocrat’s pen or stamp can ever make you culturally english at a stroke, perhaps you perceive your economic contribution to be greater ? and that is all the british native is concerned over and garners you a right to remain or if your happier to work for less, live in worse conditions and temporarily provide cheap labour, before inevitably aiming to shove your spawn up the class hierarchy, these corporate entity beneficial qualities in the end ultimately dilute the further the minimum standard of civility and living conditions for those natives near the bottom who struggle, it is necessary for hard limits to be put on immigration just to maintain a sense of unity and a sense of cultural identity within a culture, I personally value cultural identity beyond pure economy & money, its to do with the idea that natives anywhere in the world are not substitutable and completely replaceable in a governments imagination at every turn for cheaper foreign labour or more competitively aggressive individuals from elsewhere.

The exact kind of phrase bullshit undemocratic government departments will use to not reply to you when they pretend to be replying and pretend to be interested in “Your Say” or “Your Feedback”, when in fact it would be more straight forward and honest to admit theyre care for no-ones opinion but theyre own, they will send you back letters with bullshit phraseology like this>

My gp surgery in London, has become so much a waste of time let me explain :

The 1st way you are worn down in seeking treatment for your ailments ? > delay in every treatment path.

Effectively you can only book an appointment 2-3 weeks in advance.
Almost pointless if whatever your ill with happens to be serious, you’d be dead by the time surgery got round to seeing you. This one could only be resolved by paying doctors less, perhsps half the 100,000 a year “basic” say 50,000 and having twice as many of them and allowing them conduct better quality services rather than the rushed 10 minute pointless appointments, tests never seem to be conducted on site at the time or anything barely passing for scientific medical practice is done, basically this what you will get is a 1920 blood pressure test, a cursory visual exam at arms length and a wave off to book another appointment 3 weeks later if things haven’t resolved themselves, meaning the whatever health issues you have are moved forward at either 3 week increment points of change, or if your really you lucky you might get a recommendation to book an appointment with a specialist, if things haven’t resolved themselves, if you are lucky you might get a prescription of some form of antibiotics that is completely ineffective against most lurgy’s that fly into London on the endless disease distribution system known as unchecked international travel. The resident immigrant population guaranteeing us every sneeze an illness, in the world finds its way here within 24 hours.

thy mystical same day appointments ?

If you ring at exactly 8am and wait or not wait on hold you may or may not get answered and you may or may not get one of the rare as hens teeth same day 10 minutes appointment, if by 8:05 your still on hold, this means you lost the lottery no one answered, and your call will not be answered but its impossible to tell what’s going on because they appear now to not answer the phone until after 9pm, if you don’t realise this its fully possible to be hanging on the phone for 50 minutes without realising they’re not answering calls despite the call holding message saying if you would like to hold someone will answer or you will be answered shortly which you will not, at 9am you may actually get through to the surgery, all the while the receptionist will claim no knowledge that you might have been held on their phone system for any such period it’s as though the flashing lights on their phone system mean nothing to them ? Because they steel themselves not to answer before 9am after having given out the few mystical same day appointments ? Or do they even exist ?

Gp receptionist. Seem also to have become inured to the job, whenever I enter the surgery the only people who seem to be catered are the foreign barely English speaking mums who seem to come for endless healthy baby inspections, I guess this part of the practice is the easy part as rarely anything ever goes wrong a healthy baby arrives time is spent on it, nothing difficult needs doing some simple generalised tests are given by the nurse … job done, easily adding to the positive record of events.

no continuity of patient care or developing relationship

You never seem to get the Same doctor twice as the doctors seem to be an endless parade of foreign doctors, there’s little chance as to whether your even getting a male or female doctor choice, and heaven forbid you get an out of hours or emergency doctor this maybe be any one of a random foreign Doctor whose just there for a day or two of obscene freelance income topping up, without about as much responsibility toward your health as a vague wind, after all there never there to be responsible for they’re input later ? There are and have several cases against camidoc my local area out of hours service for serious neglect in patient care cases where people have died due to lacklustre gp’s failing to identify the serious nature of patients condition, rarely do any of these cases ever come back to properly terminate a gp’s career. I have effectively given up trying to remember my doctors name because it will no doubt never be the same person twice, but I guess when you get paid 100k a year basic then you can stop going as soon as you have paid for an obscenely expensive house in London with all that overworked time, to no beneficial point for the patients healthcare outcome, its all just bonus money ?

the seemingly builtin redundancy of the current gp healthcare system

Effectively because gp’s seem little more than triage nurses with 1920’s symptomatic based generalised, in my experience, arms length, observational exam advice, who can only resort to theorising or recommending you on to someone who can actually conduct a useful test / do something or has specialist knowledge or powers to authorise tests or diagnose anything, the majority of the time they do spend, seems … mainly wasted, even if you get to a specialist theyre care can seem just as rushed, ie seeing as many patients as possible rather than actually getting a scientifically provable diagnosis for anyone ? The specialist circus can often seem just as rushed and broken and overloaded, I once had an appointment for a london dermatologist at a specific time, I turned up have to queue for an hour even though I arrived at the appointment time, behind seemingly the world and his wife, also without much scientific testing or proof I was given a diagnosis, In some ways gp’s will probably catch the limited treatment self inflicted diseases of the pre 1950’s, tug forlock doctor as respected unquestioned god and father figure era, type social ilnesses, if your lucky , high blood pressure / heart disease, smokers lung, and of course the easiest to diagnose obesity etc, gp surgeries seem to specialise in ongoing almost pointless advice related to lifestyle treatment, ie don’t smoke, don’t drink take exercise, eat less, no coffee / spicy foods, sugars eat regularly, get more regular sleep, try not to be stressed, live like a vegetarian monk in training etc. anyone already knows and can offer themselves this advice without needing to study to become a doctor as its common knowledge, and therefore flipping pointless advice ? Gp’s seem unable currently to operate any kind of useful scientifically accurate diagnosis / testing and care in situ in the surgery ?

But say your illness isn’t derived from bad lifestyle choices? lets say it’s something that needs determining and detecting otherwise your long term health is going to gradually decline unnoticed and unchecked then this I feel gp’s are pretty much useless for.

Feminine and child care bias It seems from my observation that surgeries in London are largely unwelcome to anyone, but most especially to anyone of the male sex. It seems to a large extent whenever I go in there (not that often) that there is an expectation on you not to turn up or be ill, the surgery staff seem mainly to consist of over stressed short tempered ageing women who long long ago lost any love or care for their job, or their associated temporary replacement trainee female foreigner who they seem to constantly mentoring and training to replace them someday by the afore most person, in a system of half broken archaic computer bureaucracy, whose main role seems to be as some kind of defensive wall that repels and diminishes almost to nought the patients expectation of care.

What with the strain on the system and its pointless routine of getting through the pure numbers of people regardless of care quality, the systems general response to the patient is to deter them from seeking further help and not aid them, in the will required for to further pursue health issue resolution, so as to naturally alleviate as much as possible its own pressures, but in this process it leaves Patient care and case movement seemingly totally dependant on the will and energy of the patient themselves to move there case forward. In this process only the aggressive strong willed or paranoid hypochondriac who seek help with avengeance for the slightest ailment, you know where every cold is fescribed as a flu every little cough a full on chest infection. the self posessed agressive personality and hypochondriac or over fretting mother must occupy 75% of all the sane capacity in the system. The people can win against a system that does no caring on your behalf toward your health without total pro activity on the patients part, and often there are those most in need who have no one else to fight there corner, a partner etc and whose health may have already combined with the dejecting nature of the system and their own impaired ability to represent themselves effectively health wise , those who are ill have the least energy to resolve their own Health issue’s etc or perhaps whose history of results, has made them conclude there is little point with engaging with such a poor and broken system.

The net result is an overloaded system, that does not serve the patient well, nor at least time wise doctors, regardless of their over the top financial remuneration, currently there is little healthcare value in relation to the vast sums, pumped into the gp system and doctors wages from public taxes.

Solution :

Train allot more graduate gp’s.
And let their pay fluctuate on the basis of patient satisfaction

somehow pay Gp’s not just on numbers of patients seen but on cases resolved to the patients satisfaction. Ie a gp whose see’s records number of patients is achieving very little unless they are resolving those healthcare issues or improving the healthcare outcome of the patient.

Health outcomes prp instead of patient numbers seen

Hardly any other profession is paid on any terms except results, and seeing more people on its own as a measurement is not a good measurement of effective work, especially as Gp’s seem to do little but filter people toward effective treatment elsewhere in the system rather than conduct any treatment or cure patients themselves, there effectively overpaid and expensive triage nurses. It seems to me a gp, that sees 48 patients a day, yet does not effectively drive or remain responsible for driving their health forward to the point of resolution is doing little, and seems sort of pointless, sadly the poor can only afford this style of treatment and any American system of private health care would leave them either in debt or without healthcare as quite clearly be seen by Americas example, Usa citizens who have to decide which finger they can afford to have stitched back on, whilst medical professionals seem even more obscenely overpaid and living in the lap of luxury.

In surgery testing

To change the ethos of gp’s from filtering patients via generalised blunt diagnosis design, and to stop subconsciously deferring the patient from seeking further help and in turn become pro-active on the patients behalf in seeking their health resolution, through in surgery based scientific testing, why is it that gp’s seem to send the “ill patient” on walkabout to the local hospital for blood tests for instance ? Why do gp’s seem incapable of even taking a simple blood sample for instance. ? And sending it off for testing on the patients behalf ? and lets not get down the road as to why a patient must bring their ill self to the surgery ? I remember when it was the other way round, where like a vet the doctor had his rounds and would house visit, those days of civility and progress are long past.

Surgerys need to be places of fast track scientifically based diagnosis.

I propose any philosophy espoused by timothy Leary is propaganda sent from the aged bankrupt 60′s generation who have done more damage to destabilise harmonious people cultures than can be quantified, the entire philosophical viewpoint was that of a break with past a standard youthfull rebellion, a disruption an upturning of the status quo , these activitys are in conflict with the word peace, offering the crimes up of “the white male power manipulators” of the “other generation” as being in some binary and tragically simplistic way, a guilty by default scenario. That endless expression on the 60′s generations lips “the man” like a child asserting there father is to blame, no wonder now to imagine the era we live in today in which unless you are foreign, queer or feminine, you have tragically been born white male western and heterosexual and are thereby assumed guilty racist and fundamentally wrong and flawed beyond recovery and should not have the ear of culture in any sense. and failing by the following qualitys ? Let’s tackle just a few statements –

It is precisely the 60′s generation who sought nought more than their own egotistical gratification under the guise of peace and free love, which I might say was childish and equally boring, as it negated to recognise the true human nature in that although one can try to impose peace and love on humans, in reality, the two qualitys are quite misunderstood, and less dynamic than many other qualitys and should not be considered as idealised philosophys, peace being a static state in an absolute sense, and love being riddled with competition prejudice hope desire loss, disappointment, love being a much more dynamic word is riddled with much darker sinues not readily apparent, to the vapid many who affected the nature of the hippy mindset. They were no doubt many in the 60′s generation who didn’t get a free ride on the love boat who were excluded from it in someway the revolutionary group must always by its nature have a boundary or there is nothing to overturn, and the 60′s revolution ran out of steam once it had been inevitably been commercialised and packaged and the group of subscribers became too large and diverse in philosophy and demographic makeup to hold themselves together and like any psychedelic bubble must burst as any flower has its time in the sun.

They hate beauty ?
Another vapid subjective binarism, after much thought over many years beauty to me means coherence, but to say white man power culture hates beauty ? In what sense ? The media portrays nothing but an endless parade of visual beauty, by the measure of advertising alone it takes the top 10% of the beautiful people and aspirationally projects that over the other 90% who could not achieve such beauty. Why do humans beings endure or even tolerate this presentation because even the ugly are prejudiced subconsciously against the ugly, this is almost hard wired into the psyche of breeding creatures.

They hate sex ?
I don’t know whether it’s just me, but I doubt we have ever lived in a more promotedly or highly and emotionally irresponsibly sexualised era ? Look at the availability of its imagery, the unceasing expansion of the global population on a limited planet, peoples views of the words peace liberty love and sex rarely recognise the conflicting limitations of such words when measured relative to the limited environment we live in. I’d say if there is less sex in existence today it’s not for a lack of its promotion ? It is the population pressure that the free love boomer generation created, that as a hangover today, has begun to stunt young native western populational reproduction, by the scarcity of resource to make it civily viable to the same standard, as was possible for their parents generation, combined with the new rude dribellous longevity of a life, science has enabled. And the fact thate the sense of white guilt that the all things foreign loving 60′s generation has assured the destruction of the grand children of said 60′s generation as a large factor in the breeding populations demographic makeup ? Today, 60′s influenced loved up over immigration, in many cases being the tool of their grandchildrens demise. The 60,s generation were a foam of youthful expense created by a hard fought for excess, they’re parents had worked for through measured and sobre existences. In generations that remained still acutely aware of the sacrifices their anticedents had made for them and their responsibility toward the generations yet to come.
They hate life ?
Whereas of course hippys get to claim the love of life as their property ? Dingbat really . . . all creatures love life it’s three quarters of what most of the problems in the world are over, peoples desire to at minimum cling onto the quality of life they have and perhaps garner a better more fulfilled expanded one most inevitably often whether consciously or not at someone else’s or the environments expense, often something that previous generations taken by borrowing resource wise in a profligate manner from the futures of generations yet to come.

And By the way who are “they” ? Your parents ? Your children ? The ones who didn’t subscribe to the fascist liberalist propaganda you espoused ? The people outside of the group ? Even the hippys had to be triballistic in nature, because that is human nature, just hippys asserted virtue to their group and guilt to others? As most youth movements always do.

I almost consider it beneath my intellect to make a critique of such declarational manifestos, as by their form alone and the fickle nature of words, and the boldness of their presumptions, must inevitably be heavily flawed. Though as with all good binary story fiction must be riven with some bright quality metal to philosophically headlining simplistically attract the minds eye, yet always attempt to make too much of their own statements.

True statements are often quiet and subtle in their true nature, often compromised toward many objectives which when viewed in parallel and in context of the group which democratically believe and espouse in them, will sum in a diffuse way to an enhancement of the groups existence in general.

High Maintenance women tend to :

1: Spend more than the relationship can afford monetarily jeopardising its overall security, and confuse monetary expenditure and material things as directly equatable tokens of love, chinese culture also for instance often acceptably perceives monetary expenditure as a sign of love.
2: tend to be very worried about how other people ecternal groups perceive the relationship/family, and are obsessed with keeping up appearances at the cost of the relationship very often.
3: tend to be jealous very easily
4: tend to use the love they do put in, as a tool of manipulation within the relationship to control ower in their favour
5: Tend to throw a wobbly any time the lovers attention diverts to anything other than them, ie if you spend to much or any time even with friends or family or even children, they start throwing a hissy fit.
6: tend to be incapable of seeing whats good about the relationship and being satisfied with it, and the small blessings blessings and qualities within it until the relationship is already irreparably broken
7 Tend to have very high expectations and very low tolerance of behavioural patterns different to their own narrow beliefs.
8: Tend to enduce unecessary amounts of stress into almost every situation, as though they thrive of the stuff ?
9: Tend to throw a hissy fit and prefer to live in denial when confronted with a truth they dont like.

The Ploughmans Lunch myth

The ‘ploughmans lunch’ was as a cohesive peice of faux history popularised by the ‘milk marketing board’ to increase cheese sales in the 1960’s, and highlighted to publicans the Idea of serving a marketed plate of food at lunchtimes, hitherto a haphazardly catered for need, which thankfully to some extent can be thought responsible for kicking off the whole ‘pub food revolution’. Prior to this pubs might well have been able, if they could be troubled to, knock you up the odd cheese sandwich, and would often have the odd jar of pickled eggs or onions and sometimes some cold meats or pies on offer, but these snacks in most pubs in the 1930’s were a token gesture towards serving food, to sustain workmen who might otherwise not get a proper meal, but in these days ‘Beer’ was by labourers considered as important as food, and to some extent drink was also perceived as sustaining in a way than it is not today, Beer in itself being high in calories. Really the Ploughmans Lunch was a formalising and coalescing of the cold food ingredients that might well have already been in a pubs serving vocabulary, into a named plate of food that could be served like a meal to the patrons of the public house in a marketable way, which up until this point food in a pub had been a casual arrangement whose extent and quality was at the publicans discretion, In a way things were charmingly relaxed as in there was no formalisation of food being served, but if you had voiced your requirement of vittels to the publican, he would often have something to offer, sometimes even what he himself would be having for supper if you were lucky, but what it was and how it came, was most often pot luck, rarely would people think to the need of a choice, nor complain as to what was offered. A ploughmans was the first widely marketed meal in a pub, when done well is surprisingly satisfying – even today. Remember during war all such pre war pub food culture that did exist had been firmly limited for the duration of the war, and its recommencement was probably slow and limited due to extended rationing, to some extent the “ploughmans” was an attempt to formalise those bits that remained and increase cheese sales.

Traditionally consisting of :

Initially a cold dish of Hunks of Cheese or sliced Cold meats or if luxurient both, always accompanied by Hunks of bread or long rustic rolls with pats of butter and essentially pickles most often a spreading style pickle, or a couple of pickled onions or both, and latterly token salad elements – sliced tomatoes, lettuce possibly a cold boiled egg and very often apple slices etc. but can also include pork pie, grapes, celery, carrot, pâté, hard boiled egg, beetroot etc, but to be honest these as referenced to the ingredients pubs had at hand throughout the country before the formalistion of the title by the MMB, a ploughmans could vary quite a bit the main things that remained the core of the dish, were the bread the cheese and the pickle in some form or another whether onion or chutney or both, most important is the rustic nature of the dish that means that most of the items served in a ploughmans must be with little fuss or short preparation in the dish itself as there was often little time in between serving customers to allow its preparation. The ‘ploughmans lunch’ in its pre war unformalised era might have been called the “The ploughboys lunch”. But the marvelous thing about a ploughmans is how they vary depending on where you are, it enables each pub to put its own twist on the idea, but with a central trinity that remains. In the case of informal history there is no doubt in my imagination that field labourers, ploughman etc throughout the century’s could call when convenient on a nearby hostelry or ale house and get some form of food provided, this is quite obviously logical especially with a mainly male and sometimes migratory field labour force, its just that no one ever thought to formalise the process, as the original purpose was as a ‘house of ale’, this its primary function and food secondary and available but less documented or considered in the equation, certainly so, in small country village pubs where the ploughmans was to find it’s birth.

Basically the contents of a couple large hearty sandwiches unmade. This being very simple for publicans to knock up with little need for a cook etc. In the 1970’s pubs which had never really served food in a formal sense, soon started by offering simple cold plates like this and then progressed to deep fried food in baskets and then increasingly complex menus, and onward into a situation in which very few pubs indeed, now … could get away without serving food of some sort that requires a chef or a cook to prepare.

Essentialy in the 1970’s allot of people were marketed into imagining this was a dish traditionally made for a ‘ploughman’, though its heritage is foggier than the marketed dishes name, from a pub serving perspective, also the meal served in the field to labourers mid day may well have consisted of these elements in a homemade rustic picnic form.

If you come across an old pub with a run down interior and lots of local characters, sometimes they may still only offer a cheese sandwich or pickles, and this is remnant perhaps of a pub that has never got fully drawn into the food provision game, this might might well be an original survivor pub, whose mainly drinking custom has always and until the modern day been enough to sustain it, these pubs are very rare today. Sadly a very large number of historic pubs have been ruined by modernisation and the ubiquitous and obscenely appended Thai restaurant. Pubs really have to offer food now as the consistency of post work drinking patterns and the family mealtime has to some extent evaporated, and this pub provision of food, has probably had its greatest impact on late opening simple cafes surviving in the smaller towns and larger villages, though expendable income to be spent on eating out since the 1930’s versus eating at home has greatly increased. And Pubs that don’t serve food may find it difficult to draw enough passing trade.
