Gripes from the past Part 2 Epson get it in the Neck. lol

Something I wrote to epson in 2003, not sure I got a reply, but products don’t get any better whichever way generally, but chewing theyre balls might lead to some positive outcome, after all the number of epson printers that must be in Landfill right now haunts me still. If only an army of undead but livng(I know unlikely we are talking Epson here) Epson printers risen up from landfill, could be put to some use like a cloud printing device or something LOL.

WRITTEN 26 OCTOBER 2003 ————————————————->

1. As a UK user : Why are the drivers for the C60 MacosX US and UK drivers different version numbers ?! and different k sizes by quite allot ?.

US Printer Driver v1.3aD
UK printer driver 1.1b

Why bother having different version numbers globally on the wweb? it is supposed to be a worldwide medium that demonstrates global equality and uniformity of standard? not a way for people to view how unfair/in-equalitous pricing and service standards appear to be ?

1b. Are the drivers different in any way ?

2a. Why must I i fill in a form with half a ton of detail to get simple questions like this answered ? Is this hoop jumping or backpressure as the support Industry calls it.

2b. Why different region tech support web sites, I find the more a company divides and outsources support services the lower the standard becomes and surely must cost more money ?(US tech support I have always found to be superior to UK support for american based companys) Why should the US/UK websites be different with IP based telephony available, The Us site could at least deal with english language based tech support communications, and control the UK Repair centres.
2c. The timeout on the visit session of your website is so short tech my session expires before I can submit, wow thats a clever way of getting rid of complaints ! and Oh I cant bookmark anything on your site, because its liable to change how user friendly.

3. Driver error 1.1b: when having succesfully printed a multi N up page and running out of paper or having two sheets feed at once/misfeed, then stopping and starting the job the printer reprints the last page it has successfully printed, this is especially annoying when doing a long document in manual duplex form, also misfeeds are occuring more often. Is there a command returned to the computer stating when each page has been succesfully printed and why is this not calculated right when in multi n up when the print qeue is stopped and started ?

And finally >>: Why Have I had to throw 4 or more epson inkjet printers away over the past 7 years all with light usage because of blocked nozzles ?! The fifth the C60 described in the top part of this mammoth form, its cyan nozzles are already heading home regardless of the epson utility cleaning(never used more than 3 times in any cleaning session) almost exactly 14 months after purchase. You must be the least green manufacturer on the planet, imagine the number of landfills full of old non degrading plastic Epson printers because of dried up nozzles!! this is a flaw in the design, and will remain so and until you fix it, there is a hefty spiritual weight to all those wasted resources. Why also, do Epson A3 photo 12XX printers not seem to suffer as badly from nozzle blockage as other cheaper Epson printers, Is this your form of wastefull built in obsolesance ? If price competition is the reason whyÉyour printers have such short lifespans, then perhaps you need to rethink the recipe of price and functionality design.

Dont send me anyÉover marketedÉself promotional hype repliesÉ
or plebean look at our website or wrong department type communications.

As you can probably now tellÉregardless of how cheap your printers are, building upÉbad will between yourselves as a company and your customers is a bad idea. I might also highlight you are not the only company with such practices, but in the end these questions have to be asked and answered.

Just straight answers to my questions.

I may publish this communication and your reply if I can be bothered : on the Web. No reply, will guarantee me publishing my communications to you on the web.
thank you in advance
