I hate the way in macos x if you start a process thats slowing the machine down to a crawl, you cant do a control D and stop the action you set in motion, like you used to be able to on older operating systems, the only way is to force quit the program ? and run the merry risks of some form of file corruption, it should always be possible to instruct a program to stop doing what its doing ?
