Adverts and channel self promotion or program adverts are now allowed to account for 1/5th of total tv output.
And I swear some programs have more than this fifth throughout the day, if you count:
Titles
Channel promotion and ident brand crap
Adverts
Program Promos
and artifically segmented program recaps
or programs that unneccessarily mediate, prelude ones viewing of a program
come dine with me being an example. of the recap crap.
a program which at one take could last 1 hour, seems to be eeked out and thinly spread over 5 30 minute programs on 5 different nights now thats cheap television.
also repeats do they count as original content being broadcast timewise ? as really theyre should be a measure of novel first play content in relation to the quantity of advertising, and then a measure of all content including repeats in relation to advertising.
someone needs to develop a way of auto monitoring, detecting and complaining about breaches of these advertising rules, because theyve increased too much in my opinion some programs are just ruined by the current level of advertising, and spreading thin of content.
